Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 29, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how FundGuards ("FundGuards", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar browser storage when you use our portfolio tracking service (the "Service"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, let a site keep small pieces of data on your device. We use both, only for the purposes described below.
2. Cookies we use
We set a single cookie, and it is strictly necessary to keep you signed in:
- fg_rt — a refresh token that lets the Service renew your short-lived session without asking you to sign in again. It is set by api.fundguards.com, is marked HttpOnly (it cannot be read by scripts on the page), Secure (sent over HTTPS only), and is limited to the authentication endpoints. It expires after 14 days, or when you sign out.
3. Browser storage we use
The app also stores a few preferences in your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device and is not used to track you:
- Your selected organization (tenant) and client (sub-tenant).
- Display settings, such as theme and table page size.
- View preferences, such as the holdings date range, visible columns, collapsed sections and cancelled-transaction toggle.
- A draft of the onboarding form you are filling in, kept on your device until you register or discard it.
Your access token is kept in memory only and is discarded when you close or reload the page.
4. What we do not use
We do not use advertising, analytics, session-recording, heatmap or cross-site tracking cookies, scripts or pixels, and we do not share cookie data with third parties for marketing. The app does load some images (asset logos and profile pictures) from third-party hosts, such as our market-data provider and an avatar service; like any image request, this discloses your IP address and browser details to that host, but those hosts are not asked to set cookies or store anything on your device by us. Because the cookie and storage described above are strictly necessary to provide the Service you request, we do not show a consent banner. If we introduce any non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
5. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies and clear local storage in your browser settings. If you block the sign-in cookie, you will need to sign in again each time you reload the page, and some preferences will not be remembered.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
7. Contact us
If you have questions about our use of cookies, contact us at privacy@fundguards.com.
